Janngo launches import-export platform in Côte d'Ivoire

third pictureAfrica’s social startup studio Janngo has announced the launch of Jexport, its turnkey import-export platform

The platform will accelerate access to regional and international markets for African Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Through Jexport, Janngo will solve the challenges of SME competitiveness in Côte d'Ivoire in order to democratise exports and accelerate their integration into regional and global value chains, the company said in a statement.

The online platform will enable small and medium enterprises and local economic players to export worldwide at the best price, it added.

The launch reflects the emergence of an ecosystem that supports Ivorian SMEs by concluding a strategic partnership with Agence Côte d'Ivoire PME, established in July 2018 under the patronage of Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Trade, Industry and SMEs, the company further added.

Fatoumata Bâ, founder and CEO of Janngo, commented, "Today, our farmers and local producers severely suffer from prohibitive transport costs which drive them in some cases to resort to selling off their crop at ridiculously low prices or even worse to see them rot on their stems.”

Jexport online freight marketplace provides high value-added services and enables SMEs and other economic players in Côte d'Ivoire to:

-trade globally and accelerate their top-line growth,

- find the best prices regarding their transport needs, optimise their costs and improve their profitability

-save time and improve their operational efficiency,

- improve their decision making with an all-in-one reporting and management tool,

-manage their legal and compliance needs on all the transport value chain through an integrated solution.

In order to meet the growing demand for logistics services, Jexport partnered with freight forwarders, carriers and other logistics players to enable them to increase their volumes, generate new leads online, optimise their transport capacity, expand their sales and marketing reach and improve their customer satisfaction.

Jexport will enable them to optimise their existing transport corridors to avoid returning empty containers, planes or trucks while offering new transport corridors to meet the additional demand.

Salimou Bamba, managing director of Agence Côte d'Ivoire PME, explained, "In our countries, the logistics and transport chains of our manufacturing SMEs are lagging behind those of their international competitors. By building export capacity, this partnership is a concrete response to the challenges faced by the Ivorian sector in terms of productivity and competitiveness; which is a lever of the emergence process of our country, Côte d'Ivoire.”
