p>Flexenclosure, supplier of advanced telecom base station site solutions, has won the prestigious Green Telecoms Awards for its revolutionary E-site solution.

E-site is a site solution powered mainly by renewable energy sources (sun and wind) and controlled by an intelligent control system, enabling sharp reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and massive savings in operating expenses.The AfricaCom Awards recognise and reward excellence in the African telecommunications market.

Flexenclosure was this year nominated in three categories for its E-site solution: “Best Cost Efficiency Solution for Africa”, “Green Telecoms Award”, and “Best Solutions for Rural Services” (the latter together with Ericsson). Flexenclosure won the AfricaCom Green Telecoms Awards for E-site as “an outstanding initiative or product which has improved telecommunication services in Africa with an environmentally-friendly approach since November 2009”. The other nominees were Inala, MTN South Africa and Orange France Telecom.
