Eutelsat unveils 'Konnect Africa'

(Image source: Commons/Digitalsmart7)Eutelsat Communications launched its 'Konnect Africa' brand at AfricaCom on 15 November which is expected to provide 20 sub-saharan countries with high speed satellite broadband 

According to Eutelsat, the new tagline that is coupling the brand is 'Taking Broadband Further', and the firm has plans to advance the launch of its commercial services, which will commence in 2017. In addition, Eutelsat and Konnect Africa have announced that they will be stepping up their coverage to more than 20 sub-Saharan countries by 2019. 

The portfolio of services delivered by Konnect Africa will include data, mobile or VSAT operators, ISPs and pay-TV platforms that can also bundle in TV with additional Internet services. 

Konnect Africa has revealed that it will offer a complete range of services, from bandwidth supply to end-to-end solutions. The firmn has also0 created a YouTube channel to promote its new products. The English version of Konnect Africa's introductory video can be viewed here
