Cape Town International Convention Centre wikimediacommonsContent caching and delivery specialist PeerApp will exhibit its latest solutions at upcoming industry trade show AfricaCom

The company said it would demonstrate how its solutions are supporting network operators in Africa meet the rising demand for Internet video and data content.

"Africa is rapidly becoming a connected continent. PeerApp is giving operators a competitive edge by helping them provide a superior quality of experience to their end users," said PeerApp vice president of marketing and business development David Sokolic.

"At the same time, we are reducing their dependence on bandwidth-constrained international transit links," Sokolic added.

The AfricaCom Awards will also take place during the show, with PeerApp’s UltrBand 6000 Series transparent caching platform named among the finalists for its contribution in helping African network operators improve services and manage networks costs.

PeerApp's UltraBand solution aims to improve video performance, web surfing and data speeds for customers while demand rises for these services on both mobile and fixed-line networks, the company said.
