African technology products distributor Comztek has announced that it has officially established a local presence in South Africas Port Elizabeth area

Resellers in the Port Elizabeth area will now have access to Comztek’s products and value-added services locally, rather than having to rely on the company's Cape Town office more than 700km away.

Comztek regional director for the Cape region, Ian Duvenage, said, “We already have a thriving branch of the business in Cape Town, and have seen a significant pique in interest for our products and solution sets in the eastern and southern Cape regions. It is with this that we decided to further dedicate resources to the region, starting with Port Elizabeth.”

According to Duvenage, the company will look to establish a more permanent presence in the East London area, with the new Port Elizabeth presence stretching as far as George to the west and East London to the east.

Duvenage added that the company had begun negotiations with a local business to provide it with warehousing capabilities.

“I am looking forward to a more focused delivery of products, solutions and customer service, that mirrors that which our customers in Cape Town, Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal and the rest of the African continent have grown accustomed to,” Duvenage remarked.
