John Woollam and Nic Laschinger took over the management of South Africa’s Euphoria Telecom as new directors to ensure that the company continues to innovate and fulfil its commitment to its customers and employees

Laschinger, a technical product architect, will lead the development team while Woollam takes over the commercial, sales and marketing responsibilities and together they will implement the future business strategy, Euphoria Telecom announced in a statement.

Woollam’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 when he started a company called Tourism Radio, a GPS based radio station, where his focus was around business automation.

“From there, I knew I loved being part of cutting edge new tech businesses and most importantly, the foundation, growth and working with a team of like-minded individuals,” he said.

Laschinger has been a technology space entrepreneur since 2005, when he started The Next Big Thing, conducting high-level seminars on future technology and its impact on business. In the same year, he founded SagacIT, a provider of enterprise-class ICT solutions for SMEs at an affordable price, something he is passionate about and has spent his career working on.

Laschinger added that they were always impressed by Euphoria’s product and admired its ease-of-use and scalability. “The competition between us existed but it was healthy and in good spirit,” he noted.

“Our next chapter is having the opportunity to join Euphoria and the team who have built the most successful cloud PBX system in SA. Euphoria is a business built on integrity, culture with an incredible customer-centric approach. The platform is easy-to-use, reliable and above all - functional. Most importantly, the staff believe in the product and so do the customers,” Woollam concluded.
