Zuku TV has announced it is planning to commission a new drama series for broadcast on the Zuku Afrika channel and is seeking producers who will help bring a fresh outlook to East African television content
The TV network is asking producers to send their ideas for a new series which would appeal to different audiences and have the ability to be understood by countries across the continent.
Zuku TV said the concept should have a strong theme, compelling plot, seamless continuity, unforgettable characters, a well-chosen setting, an appealing visual style and be entertaining, original, unique and fresh.
For producers in the East African region who want to be in with a chance of working on a new African television drama series, proposals should include: series synopsis; detailed treatment and approach; sample script for the first episode; production schedule; key production personnel; and preliminary budget.
The deadline for submissions is 31 March 2013 and applicants who have reached the next stage will be called to pitch their ideas.
