Etisalat Nigeria has built a new state-of-the-art data centre in Abuja, the company has announced
The firm said that the new centre, Etisalat’s third in the country, is designed to address a growing demand for colocation, cloud and disaster recovery services, and will serve to cement its position as Nigeria’s most reliable network.
At the facility launch, Matthew Willsher, CEO of Etisalat Nigeria, said, “Our goal is to create more value for our customers by improving quality, reducing costs, introducing innovation and increasing speed of delivery.
“This data centre will ensure that we remain innovative and that our customers will have continuity of service.”
Etisalat already runs data centres in Lagos and Kano, and this latest addition would enable the company to improve its redundancy level as well as its overall quality of service.
The centre at Abuja has been built to international standards in a fireproof, secure environment and equipped with an uninterrupted power supply, Willsher said, guaranteeing efficient data backup capacity and enabling safe storage and access to critical data.
