Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) has announced that the students of 2013 first session have graduated from its sales academy in Lagos, Nigeria
The Pan-African information and communication technology (ICT) firm said that the graduates have completed six weeks of intensive classroom work, practical training and live project attachments.
CWG Sales Academy was opened in 2012 with the mission to provide experiential knowledge on selling of IT products and services for fresh and experienced graduates in the three disciplines of IT — hardware, software and communication.
The graduation ceremony was chaired by James Agada, chief technology officer of CWG. Speaking at the the graduation ceremony, James Agada, chief technology officer, said, “The world can only be ruled by people who have the selling skill, because we all have something to offer but your ability to convince others to buy is what makes the difference.
“Considering the role of ICT in the economy and its growth rate, raising human capital that can sell the value appropriately to the users becomes imperative.”
Other speakers at the event included Olapeju Ayo-Fisher, head human resources, CWG; Oladipo Raji, general manager, DCC Networks and Stephen Albert, business development manager, DCC Networks/ Coordinator, CWG Sales Academy.
The next session of the CWG Sales Academy will commence in October 2013, the group said.
