Tech Mahindra Ltd, one of the leading providers of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and solutions, has introduced netOps.ai, network automation and managed services framework, at Mobile World Congress (MWC), being held in Barcelona from 25-28 February 2019

The netOps.ai framework is based on continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles.

As the global communication service providers (CSPs) are getting ready for the 5G revolution, Tech Mahindra’s netOps.ai aims to accelerate 5G network adoption by automating all the important network life cycle stages.

Some of the main features of netOps.ai include:

· Telco cloud automation: Automating the Telco cloud deployment of different personas and enabling one-click deployment of Telco Cloud.

· VNF lifecycle automation: Automating VNF onboarding and end-to-end network integration with integration accelerators in its VNF-Xchange.

· NetDevOps: Implementation of complete DevOps CI/CD pipeline for 5G networks in a multi-vendor environment.

· Service orchestration: Automation of network services with orchestration including closed-loop-control implementation for self-healing and auto-scaling.

During MWC 2019, Tech Mahindra has demonstrated netOps.ai framework in a multi-vendor 5G network and showcased the benefits of deploying netOps.ai including automated validation of the entire NFV stack, automated software updates, significant acceleration of end-to-end validation cycles and rapid deployment to production networks.

Boosting 5G environment

As part of the TechMNxt charter, Tech Mahindra is focused on developing platforms based on next-gen technologies like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, automation and the internet of things (IoT).

Manish Vyas, CEO of network services at Tech Mahindra, said, “Tech Mahindra’s netOps.ai Framework will significantly boost the speed of 5G network rollouts. CSP across the globe will be able to accelerate their 5G time-to-market and simultaneously reduce their cost of ownership by automating every aspect of their network lifecycle.”

A number of industry leaders including Affirmed Networks, Altiostar, F5, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, Juniper Networks, Qwilt, Red Hat, RIFT, Teoco etc have demonstrated the role of netOps.ai in accelerating 5G deployments. According to Vin Spinelli, senior vice-president for global marketing and sales at RIFT, “The netOps.ai framework is an important and major step forward in demonstrating best-of-breed, end-to-end 5G network services.”

The netOps.ai aims to deliver service agility at scale, by automating all network lifecycle stages, as well as by keeping networks continually updated. The framework is set to demonstrate service automation for private 5G networks-as-a-service by automating network slicing.
