Telecommunications service provider Globacom Nigeria has launched its latest modem, Glo Bolt, which will allow users to share their subscriptions
Glo Bolt will come with two unique features, Share Subscription and Gift Subscription, which the company claimed would excite its subscribers. These features will allow Glo Bolt users to share their subscriptions or send subscriptions as gifts.
Glo Bolt will have an updated version of Globacom’s popular Glo Netpro brand and will be equipped to provide a High Speed Internet (HSI) service that runs on High Speed Packet Acces (HSPA) supported and enabled by Glo 1 international submarine cable.
Globacom Nigeria general manager of marketing, Ashutosh Tiwary, said the new modem would be driven by its high speed and excellent performance.
He added, “The service offers users Internet service never before experienced in Nigeria and facilitates easy handling of Internet applications on modems, tablets, smart phones and other devices.”
Globacom informed that the sharing feature will offer subscribers convenience and affordability by allowing them to share their Internet subscription with their friends and family instead of buying multiple subscriptions.
Tiwary added, “For instance, a customer with a family of four can buy only one subscription plan and share with his family, instead of buying four subscription plans. The beneficiaries will receive an SMS notifying them of the shared plan and how they can share the plan.”
