Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has launched a new video application for Skype in Nigeria
LASAA said the application would boost service and use of online voice and video call application in Nigeria.
The agency hoped that the new application would improve customer relations and service delivery in the country, which has been hampered by years of poor service.
It said that the new application, which will allow full use of Skype video, “would set the record as perhaps the first industry regulator in Africa to deploy the interactive medium to enhance engagement with its diverse stakeholders”.
LASAA added that it hoped Nigerians would use the new video service in order to push for changes in how mobile operators and Internet providers delivered services in the country.
LASAA managing director George Noah said, “Skype video application demonstrated the agency’s commitment to the provision of value-addition services, and stakeholders’ satisfaction and positive experience.
“We are delighted at the launch of this service because it aligns with our commitment to continuously offer our stakeholders opportunity to connect with us freely. We are convinced that with Skype, engagement at both ends will be quicker and faster,” he added.
The agency said its employees were prepared to handle the new application and solve complaints or concerns of users.
