African mobile technology brand AG Mobile has launched in Nigeria, making it the ninth African nation where its mobiles and tablets will be available

The Nigeria launch is part of AG Mobile’s expansion strategy to provide Africans with affordable, quality products as well as investing in high potential markets. The company has already developing relationships with MTN, Etisalat, Ringo and Jumia in a bid to improve connectivity from 2G to 3G.

While the initial marketing roll-out covers Lagos, Kano, Port-Harcourt and Abuja, the reach is national, said CEO Anthony Goodman. Android and feature-loaded devices will be available online via Jumia as well as from MTN and Ringo outlets, as well as independent dealers in the country.

“We’re also completing the installation of our first retail space at the Ringo Arena in the Computer Village in Lagos and will be rolling-out similar outlets where customers can experiment with live devices before they purchase them. Any repair issues will be administered at an in-country repair centre,” revealed Goodman.

Considering that users today want advanced specifications and features, Goodman believes AG Mobiles can offer such services and more like free value-added elements, pre-loaded social networking apps and a one-year warranty.
