Telecommunications services provider Bharti Airtel has announced Rajeev Sethi as new chief commercial officer for its Africa operations
Sethi will report to Raghunath Mandava, MD and CEO for Airtel Africa. As chief commercial officer Sethi will be managing customer-centric commercial strategies across all 15 African countries where Airtel operates, the firm stated.
“We welcome Sethi to the Airtel Africa team. With his vast experience across a range of developing markets, he will contribute immensely in accelerating our growth journey," said Mandava.
"I am confident that Sethi will take the Airtel brand to greater heights,” he added.
According to the firm, Sethi has more than 21 years of diverse experience across a number of sectors, including telecom, IT, paints and petroleum. He has worked with Telenor group, where he was an employee for more than seven years and the last project he worked on was with Grameen Phone, the biggest operator in Bangladesh, as chief executive officer.
