Airtel Uganda has unveiled a new 3G Wi-Fi/internet device which can connect up to ten handsets to the web
The new Airtel Wingle can connect to all Windows, Android and IOS devices and can be used with any USB port anywhere – including USB adapters, chargers and USB ports in cars – rather than just with laptop computers.
The Wingle also possesses a two-way connectivity, allowing for the creation of a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, if used with a 3G sim card, which is capable of connecting numerous other devices.
“The Airtel Wingle is a device fit for this smartphone generation due to its portability, high signal strength and can be used anywhere any time to connect up to ten users,” said Airtel Uganda’s marketing director Prasoon Lal. “We believe that our customers will enjoy using the Airtel Wingle and we shall continue introducing cutting-edge devices and products to enhance the way people communicate in Uganda.
“At a cost of only 100,000 UGX (US$27), the device is affordable and furthermore, it comes with 1GB of free mobile data valid for one month. The Airtel Wingle is available at all Airtel Uganda shops countrywide.”
