Zantel Telecommunication, the Tanzanian division of Etisalat, has restated its plans to invest heavily in expanding operations in the East African country

"Our partnership with Zantel has been very fruitful," said Essa Al Haddad, Zantel chairman and Africa's chief regional officer for the Etisalat Group. "Zantel has grown fast over the last five years in terms of introducing the most advanced and exciting products and services."

Al Haddad added that Etisalat would ensure Zantel reinforces its position as the country's market leader for broadband and customer experience.

Etisalat operates in 18 countries across Asia and Africa including Niger, Sudan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
