The Sybase iAnywhere Blue SDK (Software Developer Kit), which supports the Bluetooth Core Specification version 3.0+ High Speed (HS), is now available for Android devices. Sybase’s first of its kind solution is developed to reside on Android based computing platforms, offering a large number of profiles to users with unmatched short range wireless connectivity on a wide variety of devices.
The latest feature set for Sybase Blue SDK supports both Bluetooth and 802.11 wireless connectivity to Android devices with dramatically faster and highly reliable data transfer for applications including streaming video transmissions and playing MP3 files. Unlike open source solutions, Sybase SDKs are compliant with Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) specifications. Sybase’s compatibility, operational stability and comprehensive technical support help manufacturers reduce development costs, shorten time-to-market and apply strict compliance to the Bluetooth SIG's interoperability standards as they evolve.
