African online digital music platform, iROKING, has launched a mobile version of its website
According to the company, the website, m.iroking.com, has been optimised to ensure super-fast downloads and compatibility with all mobile handsets across Africa.
iROKING said that the site would offer a host of exciting features for more than 700mn mobile phone subscribers in Africa.
An iROKING statement added, “Of the several features made available to users, the sophisticated search capabilities to guide users to see their search results by artist, track or album is one of the most premium one.
“For those with a love of all things visual, iROKING has built in a one-click functionality that takes listeners directly to artists’ YouTube videos. Users will also be able to share their favourite iROKING tracks with the rest of the world at the click of a button via email, Twitter and Facebook.,” added the statement.
The site will also provide genre-based radio channels for its users to tune into.
To celebrate the launch of the site, the company is currently offering free track downloads for a limited period.
iROKING chief executive officer, Michael Ugwu, said, “This week sees the launch of iROKING 2.0. We know that our listeners want to access fresh tunes from the best of West Africa’s artists anytime, anywhere and so we’ve designed them the ultimate mobile platform to do that.”
The new mobile site launch comes just weeks after the company announced it had reached the impressive milestone of 100,000 registered users in just seven months.
Nigerian rapper 2Shotz said, “The site has clearly been designed keeping convenience of music lovers in mind. I love the look and feel of the mobile site and I’m already addicted to it.”
