The following is a list of issues addressed:

Is the cloud ready for the enterprise? Is the enterprise ready for the cloud? The cloud is a unique delivery model. The cloud is evolutionary. How can service provision capabilities be standardised?

Fresh levels of abstraction raise issues of trust between client and cloud services provider. Not all clouds are the same. There are a lot of developments yet to take place to ensure trust amongst enterprises. Proof of irretrievability is an example. Can the enterprise retrieve information from the cloud, from a virtualised environment?

There is a need to think about structured information and support – and about reasonable, rational deployments. A cloud deployment is not merely an isolated event with potentially profitable consequences; it is a journey, which entails enterprise transformation.
