ITC Global, satellite communication services provider to the mining, energy and maritime sectors, has announced that it has completed its acquisition of Spidersat Communications Limited

Spidersat is also focused on providing satellite-based communication services for exploration, and mining services companies operating in Africa.

ITC Global had announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire Spidersat Communications Limited in August 2012.

An ITC statement said that the companies combined would provide seamless coverage, service, and local support available in Africa for mining and mining-related customers.

ITC Global co-founder and chief executive officer Joseph Spytek said, “I am excited to begin our partnership with Spidersat and further develop our presence globally.

“Spidersat’s footprint across Africa, coupled with ITC Global’s existing presence, will allow ITC Global greater access to markets where we can provide value and expertise to new and existing customers.”
