Carbon Black has announced that Cb Defense, the company’s next-generation antivirus (NGAV) solution, has been recognised with an overall five-star rating by SC Media, the highest possible rating
Among some of the highlights from the report, written by SC Media Technology Editor Peter Stephenson:“One of the most efficient user interfaces we’ve seen; solid response to streaming attacks; for a mix of threat analysis and incident response, this one demands your attention.”
Also highlighted in the report is Cb Defense’s efficient user interface, ability to keep various people within the organisation informed, and the ability to apply threat intelligence to attacks.
“We have always been fans of Carbon Black, “Stephenson writes. “The company seems to have carved a niche in the area of threat intelligence applied to malware protection. This latest offering is typical of what we’ve expected to see from them.”
Categories evaluated in the rating include: “Features,” “Performance,” “Documentation,” “Support,” and “Value for Money.” Carbon Black received an overall five-star rating.
“This is an outstanding honour for Carbon Black and Cb Defense,” said Patrick Morley, the company’s president and CEO. “Cb Defense is revolutionising endpoint security and empowering organisations around the world to stop advanced attacks with streaming prevention technology. This recognition from SC Media is the latest validation that Cb Defense is among the market leaders in cybersecurity.”
Cb Defense is a cloud-based NGAV solution for desktops, laptops, and servers that combines advanced protection with detection and response capabilities. Designed to protect organisations from the full spectrum of modern cyber-attacks, Cb Defense is powered by Carbon Black’s streaming prevention technology, which collects, correlates and analyses endpoint events, in real time, enabling organisations to identify and stop both malware and non-malware attacks.
