South African-based e.tv has selected CSM solutions provider Front Porch Digital to centralise and administer its new digital archive
The free-to-air broadcaster has bought a DIVArchive CSM system for its Cape Town facility as it shifts its asset library from analog to digital, Front Porch Digital revealed.
According to the company, DIVArchive will create and centralize a digital archive for the company behind e.tv, Sabido Group, as well as e.tv itself, to improve efficiency and making it simpler for both entities to monetise assets.
“In an industry where content is king, an efficient and stable archiving system is crucial for the conservation, preservation, and, ultimately, commercial exploitation of content,” said Nohra Moerat, general manager of group libraries and archives at e.tv.
"It became an imperative for us this year when we launched our multichannel business,” Moerat added.
“DIVArchive is a system with a proven track record and a strong reputation, and offers efficiencies that will allow us to archive and retrieve in a more organised way."
