The 18th edition of Connected Africa and SatCom Africa to be held from 26 - 27 May 2015 in Johannesburg, will aim to address management of ICT costs and expenses in the African continent

According to Connected Africa and SatCom Africa, the two-day event will promote the management of infrastructure costs, connectivity in rural areas, commercialisation of satellites and service reliability.

The event aims to bring about change and innovation in the field of satellite transmission and operation in the region. It will also offer new business connections and opportunities in the African market.

iWayAfrica managing director Job Ndege said, “SatCom Africa 2014 was a great event. I see the growth from last year. It reinforces that the event guarantees great offering and business potential.”

Connected Africa and SatCom Africa stated that the keynote speakers at the event will be experts and problem solvers who are passionate about the satellite and telecommunications industry.

“It is rare to find true visionaries who are able to articulate the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in the satellite and telecommunications industry. We are bringing together international speakers who will bridge the gap between the challenges faced by the telecommunications industry in Africa,” event organisers said.

SES Africa vice-president sales noted that the events bring together the key players in the satellite business in Africa.
