The Liberian government has revealed plans to move functions of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication Affairs from analog to digital in an attempt to digitise government operations at every level
Speaking at the Africa Telecommunication Union ATU Day in Monrovia last week, minister Frederick Norkeh said the government was working to ensure that the process of transformation from analog to digital fell within the 2015 deadline.
According to Norkeh, the government through the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications Affairs has been working on plans and policies that would sustain efforts geared at migrating from analog to digital system.
He said Liberia was among many nations of Africa that were committed to this transformation and, as such, was committed to achieving this target in the interest of the people.
The minister also indicated that upon government achieving the plans to transform from analog to digital, it would be placed among those nations that were advancing in the use of modern technology in the world.
