Neotel, operator for fixed line telecommunication services in South Africa, has launched NeoFlex WiMax Lite service that will offer uncapped WiMax Internet to its customers
The service will offer download speeds of 512kbps and upload speeds of 288kbps under one scheme, while download speeds of 1mbps and upload speeds of 576kbps under a second scheme. Both NeoFlex WiMax Lite packages will be offered on a 12-month contract.
A Neotel statement said NeoFlex WiMax Lite service would be a reliable wireless scheme that will offer all the benefits of fixed broadband.
Scott Grimley, senior manager sales and distribution at Neotel, said, “The NeoFlex WiMax Lite service is set to give customers access to high-speed Internet without having to worry about out-of-bundle charges or being capped half way through the month.
“The flexibility to upgrade or downgrade via a simple software change gives customers the freedom to manage their internet requirements.”
Neotel will install the antenna, which will remain the company’s property, on commencement of the service and remove it when the contract ended. Therefore, customers will only be responsible for an installation fee.
