The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has joined forces with US-based search engine giant Google to launch an online platform for its national team
A recent statement released by the NFA media officer Ademola Olajire in Abuja, stated that according to the chairman of the marketing committee, Deji Tinubu, the benefits of the project were already being seen.
"The Super Eagles are now active on the social media and have official presence on Google and YouTube," said Tinubu.
"Fans can follow them online for exclusive updates."
Tinubu remarked that the project would be an opportunity to publicise the team’s international players.
"Launching of a landing page on Google+, which is also connected to YouTube Channel, will in the medium and long-term serve as a principal publicity platform for our international players," Tinbu stated.
"The platform is really meant for our players in the Super Eagles and other National Teams to follow their supporters on their feelings and comments. It will also help with the media campaign at major championships," he added.
