Telrad Networks has announced that Internet Service Provider (ISP) ETI has chosen its 4G platform to extend its broadband network from Guineas capital city, Conakry, to the rest of the country

Telrad will supply equipment and services to provide expanded coverage from 350 base station sites covering a total area of 246,000 sq km, the company said.

ETI will provide wireless voice and data services to a wide range of both businesses and local customers, it said.

"Having gained experience with the Telrad technology, we were confident in our decision to continue using it as we expand our network to cover the rest of the country," stated Marc Civelli, CTO of ETI.

"Telrad's solutions possess the necessary quality of service, including wire-quality voice and robust data services that we require in order to deliver a superior customer experience. Additionally, Telrad offers a clear transition path to LTE, enabling us to simply transfer our network and customers to LTE when we are ready," Civelli added.
