Redknee to bring greater pricing optimisation to drive Mobinil’s competitive advantage

Redknee, a leading provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions for communication service providers, have announced it is providing Mobinil with Redknee’s real-time pricing analysis solution that will enable the operator to offer targeted price plans for its 30mn subscribers.  A joint venture between France Telecom and Orascom Telecom, Mobinil is one of the Middle East’s largest operators as well as Egypt’s leading mobile operator.

Based in Egypt, Mobinil is looking to Redknee’s real-time pricing analysis tool to drive the operator’s market strategy by improving its ability to develop and launch targeted pricing plans, promotions and campaigns. Part of Redknee’s converged billing platform, Price Simulator is an event-driven analysis tool that enables operators to accurately model price elasticity in order to optimize pricing models and to effectively segment markets as well as launch new pricing plans and bundles with optimal forecasting of customer adoption, projected revenue and APRU.

Decreasing churn

In addition, by collecting and integrating data from across the billing, customer care, pricing and marketing teams, Price Simulator supports the launch of new pricing plans and campaigns, which increases customer satisfaction and decreases churn, and enables operators to model and track behavior profiles and migration patterns on price plan, bundles and promotions in order to evaluate competiveness.

The increase accuracy and optimisation that Redknee will deliver to Mobinil will be particularly valuable to the operator as growth is expected to slow to 8.2 per cent in Egypt by 2015, according to Business Monitor International.
