Nigerian telecoms operator Globacom has launched three new Gloworld shops in the country and has revealed plans to open four more retail outlets in January 2013

The new shops will be located in Lagos, Bonny, Oshogbo and Katsina. The three shops that have already become operational were launched on 7 January 2013.

The company said that the Gloworld shops would aim to bring a bouquet of Globacom services closer to people as the shops would offer uniform services across the country.

Globacom director of sales Patrick Awotwi said, “With scores of Gloworld shops around the country, subscribers need not travel long distances anymore to enjoy our services.

“Globacom assures its subscribers quick and satisfactory resolution of all issues ranging from SIM replacement to SIM registration, recovery of over-scratched cards, refill, unblocking of SIMS, phone and laptop configurations for Internet as well as post-paid bill payments and purchase of all Glo and other complementary products at the shops.”

Awotwi noted that “Gloworld is a specialised outlet of the company which will be equipped to offer convenient and easy access to products, services and problem-resolution in a world-class and friendly environment”.

The company said that the concept has been aimed at service delivery, using a state-of-the-art technology platform managed by well-trained members of staff in order to bring the company’s brand closer to customers.
