Africa’s largest online mall, MallforAfrica (MFA), announced its expansion into Kenya with its new website, MallforKenya (MFK)
MFK will provide Kenya’s population with access to more than 50 stores and about 1.5bn items. Items available for sale on the e-commerce platform range from clothing to jewellery and electronics from stores such as Macy’s, Carolee, Carter’s, Bebe, Zappos and Amazon, among others. Products purchased through the MFK platform will be received by customers within four to 15 business days. MFA already provides users with a variety of secure payment methods and the same options will be available to all users from Kenya as well.
“As Kenya is one of the leading e-commerce capitals in the world, we are thrilled to be joining the ‘Silicon Savannah’,” said MFA CEO Chris Folayan. “Since almost two-thirds of all homes have at least one mobile phone, consumers will now have the opportunity to shop at our USA and UK retail stores.”
MFA was founded in 2011 by Folayan, who is a Nigerian technology entrepreneur. The company currently has operations in Nigeria and Kenya, and has plans to expand across Africa in the coming years.
