Arianespace will handle the launch of the new SES Astra 2E satellite, to be launched in the second quarter of 2013, and positioned at 28.2 degrees East, from where it will deliver high-power broadcast services across all of Europe and Africa; Astra 2E will be built by Astrium using a Eurostar E3000 platform, and will be fitted with active Ku-band and Kaband transponders, for a life time is 15 years.
