Three-year certification confirms commitment and capabilities for quality assurance and customer care
Alcatel-Lucent has successfully renewed its certificate of registration for the International Quality Standard ISO 9001 for its Enterprise activities for another three years.
The renewal follows an exhaustive audit in company locations in France, United States, China and Russia by AFNOR, the independent auditor used by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise for its ISO 9001 certification. To obtain recertification, a company must show continued conformity and effectiveness of its quality management system as a whole as well as the continued relevance and applicability of the management system for the scope of certification. The resulting certification applies to all products, solutions and services delivered to Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise customers worldwide.
“With a fast-moving market and innovation happening every day, it is important to show our customers that quality and service are never compromised. This ISO 9001 certification demonstrates our ability to deliver our customers secure and reliable solutions based on both established and cutting-edge technology solutions that strongly position them today and for the future,” said Tom Burns, President of Enterprise & Strategic Industries for Alcatel-Lucent.
The ISO 9001 standard is the most widely recognised quality management system framework in the world. The standard specifies requirements for the organisation’s quality management systems and focuses on Alcatel-Lucent’s ability to meet customer requirements and adaptability to continuously improve.
The certification scope covers virtually all areas of the company’s operations for its Enterprise activities, including marketing, design, development, production and sale of telecommunication systems, applications, network switching equipment and security devices, as well as technical and commercial support, after-sales service and related software.
