Telecoms supplier TXO Systems is urging telecoms network operators to enhance their equipment inventory management and release untapped revenue held in their organisations
The telecoms company collects up to 100,000 unused parts per month, with operators said to be sitting on a ‘goldmine’ of equipment assets that can be reused within their own networks, according to TXO Systems.
TXO Systems sells thousands of parts per month to operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), generating more than US$15.9mn for operators in 2014 to date, the company revealed.
“Many operators have been used to being cash rich. Their only concern was growing or maintaining their network’s infrastructure with new equipment and they had little focus on the management of assets,” said Tom Parker, VP business development, TXO Systems.
“Today, with data traffic increasing, ARPU decreasing and infrastructure ageing, the pressure is really on operators to find new ways to maintain networks, protect existing investments, and release revenue,” added Parker.
TXO Systems has provided de-installation across more than 70 countries. The company works directly with more than three quarters of the top 100 telecommunication companies and has more than 600 customers worldwide.
