Mobilium Global has rolled out a free health and wellness application for smartphone users in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Senegal

The app has been backed by the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria and endorsed by Senegalese American recording artist Akon and Nigerian award winning singer, songwriter and record producer, 2face Idibia.

According to Mobilium Global, the app provides a precise information portal on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria.

“Our goal is to provide for mobile users in Africa a free, all-access health resource platform that informs as well as encourages safe behavioural practices that in turn will help reduce the transmission and infection rates of AIDS, Malaria and TB,” said Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium Global.

The app will incorporate a mobile web based symptom checker, the Isabel Symptom Checker app, which is user friendly, safe and reliable, Mobilium Global said.

The Smart Health app will feature on all new Samsung smartphones and tablet devices, which have been rolled out in Africa, the company revealed.
