Italian-based satellite communication services provider Milano Teleport has improved its C-band VSAT coverage with an increase of 35 per cent in available capacity for the company’s customers in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia
According to the company, it has capacity on seven beams from various operators, which offers global C-band coverage for its iSeaglobal VSAT product.
Milano Teleport’s maritime brand iSeaglobal provides Internet connectivity through its VSAT Ku and C-band global solutions.
Michel Rieken, sales vice-president at iSeaglobal, said, “Several customers, mainly rigs, FPSOs, barges, tankers and LNG are taking advantage by selecting our combination of regional and global C-band satellite network beams. In November 2014, the C-band service was made up of three global beams and one regional beam. We are very proud to announce an upgrade of three new regional beams, achieving a total number of four regional beams and three global beams.”
Nicola Mossino, board member of Milano Teleport, added that the four more large regional beams reinforce coverage in regions where mainly oil and gas operations take place.

Milano Teleport expects a continued increase of its C-band capacity this year to support new and existing customers.
