The National Bank of Kenya (NBK) has introduced mobile and Internet applications for smoother customer transactions
The mobile application is called NatMobile, and the Internet application is called NatConnect, revealed authorities at NBK. The two applications have been designed to offer banking services and provide financial information to customers on their mobile devices and computers/laptops.
“Customers can purchase airtime, pay back loans, make balance and forex enquiries, acquire mini bank statements and even execute transfers through M-PESA,” said managing director of NBK Munir Ahmed.
According to the managing director, the rise in mobile and Internet banking across the continent led to NBK devising an interactive platform to engage its customers. Through NatConnect and NatMobile, customers can enjoy benefits which include deposits through all channels including over-the-counter and fund transfers to other accounts operated by NBK.
NatMobile will be available to all customers whose phones run on Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows operating systems.
