Internet start-up company, 10KWEB, has continued its expansion into Africa by increasing its presence in Tunisia

An online resource for blog writers and small business owners, 10KWEB reported less of an impact on the Tunisian market compared to Morocco but company co-founder, Anthony Martins, said, “It is especially rewarding in light of recent events taking place in Tunisia. It is changing for the better and 10KWEB is proud to be part of that change.”

Following the Tunisian Revolution, the country has seen many changes to its constitution, including the easing of restrictions of the press, religious beliefs and the public in general. The country’s unemployment rate is currently around 18 per cent and 10KWEB has stressed its desire to make a difference by offering an alternative income source to Tunisia’s citizens and giving them the means to communicate with the rest of the world.

10KWEB was created in January 2012 by Anthony Martins and Thomas Bang and the website was launched on March 5th. It is currently used in the US, Mexico, the UK, Germany, China, Morocco, Tunisia, Italy and New Zealand with more markets in development.
