iSat Limited, a newly formed satellite communications infrastructure and services company, have announced the management and employee buyout of the assets of OmniGlobe (EMEA) Ltd.  The new company is to target government, satellite operators, communication service providers and corporate customers in Africa, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East through exploiting the growing demand for instant, reliable services utilising leading edge technology and Ka band satellite capacity.

With the existing proven management team being further strengthened  by the appointment  to the Board of Kevin Cawood (formerly VT Comms and Merlin Communications) and Neil Blackley (formerly Goldman Sachs/ Merrill Lynch)  the company now has  the independence, creativity and drive to develop as a thriving business known for delivering innovative, value for money solutions to complex customer requirements. The company is poised for rapid growth, serving both its existing customer base and expanding into new technologies and markets.

CCTV Surveillance

Already, the company is developing value added applications using satellite communications bearers.  It exhibited at Counter Terrorism, where it presented a paper on CCTV surveillance over satellite infrastructure focusing on the need for Governments and Corporates to maintain vigilance at remote locations for critical infrastructure.
